Splash Pad Feature at Venture Center Pool

July 25, 2023

A colorful playground with water features at sunset, under dramatic clouds.

The Brighton Crossing splash pad at the Venture Center has been operating this year in the same manner that is has in previous years.

When in use the splash pad feature has a high level off chemical burn off. The splash pad and the pool operate on the same pumping system.  The excess water from the splash pad filters back into the activity pool. If ran too often the chemical balance in the pool becomes too low. Which then causes us to add more chlorine to help properly balance the pool. Chlorine dissipation can often take a while and in high activity times we want people to be able to use the pools. The splash pad operates in cycles to help keep users prolong their pool activities.

To keep all pool participants and equipment safe from chemical imbalance we have specific run times for the splash pad feature.

The splash pad is being ran for 45 minutes at: 11am 1pm 3pm 5pm

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

4 Reasons why balancing your pool is important.
1. An unbalanced pool can lead to skin irritations or eye problems.
2. An unbalanced pool can cause corrosion.
3. The equipment could be damaged if pool chemicals are too high.
4. The water just won’t be appealing to swimmer. (High PH = Cloudy Water)
